Privacy

Short version: this is a one-person blog, not a business collecting your data. Here's exactly what happens, and doesn't happen, when you visit.

I'm not a lawyer, and this isn't a legal document dressed up to look official. It's a plain description of how this site actually works, written by the one person who runs it.

What this site collects

Nothing, by default. There's no account system, no comments section, and currently no newsletter sign-up. This site doesn't set tracking cookies and doesn't run analytics software that profiles individual visitors.

What your web host sees

Like any website, the hosting provider (Cloudflare) automatically logs basic technical information for every visit, things like your browser type and approximate location, purely to keep the site running and secure. I don't have access to anything that identifies you personally from this.

Affiliate links

Some links on this site are affiliate links, which is covered in full on the affiliate disclosure page. Clicking one may set a cookie on the retailer's own site so they can credit the referral. That's between you and them, governed by their privacy policy, not mine.

If you email me

If you get in touch, I'll have your email address and whatever you tell me. I won't share it, sell it, or add you to anything without asking first.

Changes

If anything on this site starts actually collecting data, a proper newsletter, for instance, I'll update this page honestly and say so, not bury it in a rewrite.
